Policy Papers
For GRIFFMUN 2022, all committees have one topic. Delegates must write their position paper on one Google Doc to be shared to their specific committee email (detailed in the topic synopsis). Position papers are optional, however one is required to qualify for a Research Award and Outstanding or Best Delegate Award. Formatting is linked here. Specialized committees, such as Crisis, must follow a DIFFERENT format. Guidelines for the Crisis Policy Paper is linked here. Position papers are due on February 6th at 11:59 PM. Email your chairs about any questions or concerns.
Many conferences require a written policy paper a few weeks prior to the conference. These policy papers allow you to have a basic foundation and background on your topic and country policy. If you submit these papers on time and they are well-written, you can receive a Research Award.
Although writing a policy or position paper might initially seem intimidating, we have many sources to help our delegates get accustomed to the format and create a well-written and well-researched paper for the conferences.
