This year we are proud to offer middle school, novice, advanced, specialized, & joint-crisis committees!
Make sure to bring a water bottle and money for banana grams/snacks offered during the conference!
Speeches
Prepare TWO speeches: a 1:30 General Speech on Country Policy & UN Involvement, and a 1:30 Substantive Speech containing solutions.
There will be one comment after a general speech, and two comments after a substantive speech, thirty seconds each!
All speeches/times/comments are decided by vote of the committee. These are just general/default guidelines.
Specialized and crisis committees may have different procedures outlined in the background guide.
Position Papers
For middle school committees, position papers are required to be eligible for research awards.
For novice and advanced/specialized committees, position papers are required to be eligible for ANY committee awards.
For crisis, no position paper is required.
Papers are due February 7th, 2026 @11:59 PM.
Tech Policy
For middle school committees, full technology usage is permitted all day.
For novice and advanced/specialized committees, technology usage is only permitted during unmods and at the chair's discretion.
For crisis, technology usage is not permitted at any point during committee (no-tech), unless otherwise directed by the chair.
